Insert Blank Slide

Selecting Insert Blank Slide from the Edit Menu brings up the Blank Slide Properties dialog as shown below

 

This works exactly like Labe l for an image slide.  The difference is that the entire slide is blank and text may be placed any place on the slide area.

Insert Slide provides a means of adding "chapter "markers or extensive description within a slide show.
